Regent Beverly Ward led opening ritual, pledge of allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and the American Creed. President General’s message was read by Mary Lee Ellis followed by minutes read by secretary. National Defense Report was given by Ann Schweizer, followed by treasurer’s report by Fallis Froman. All plans were finalized for the President’s Day Tea to be Feb. 8, 2006, at 1 p.m. at fellowship hall of the First Baptist Church, honoring Daviess County History Essay winners, all county, school’s Good Citizens winners, and special awards winners. This event is celebrated yearly for Daviess County students, their parents, teachers and special guests. The day concluded with Dutch treat.
