An Independence man received minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident at about 5:20 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 20, in Daviess County.
According to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol, the accident occurred as Daniel Bishop, 55, was southbound on I-35 about 12 miles north of Cameron. His 2000 International ran off the right side of the roadway. The tractor-trailer traveled down an embankment, struck a fence, overturned and came to rest on its right side.
Mr. Bishop was taken to Cameron Regional Hospital by Daviess County EMS. He was wearing his seat belt.
The 2000 International 9100I TT was totaled and towed by Bridgeman’s of Altamont.
The accident was investigated by Tpr. J.R. Johnston, assisted by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department.

Prasad Mikkilineni of North Liberty received moderate injuries in an accident at about 11:05 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 20 in Daviess County.
The accident occurred as Spikant Mikkilineni, 22, Kansas City, was southbound on I-35. He attempted to change lanes, lost control on the snow-covered roadway, traveled off the west side of the roadway and struck an embankment. The vehicle overturned, coming to rest on its wheels facing west.
Prasad Mikkilineni, father of the driver, 56, North Liberty, was taken by Cameron Ambulance to Cameron Regional Hospital. He was not wearing a seat belt.
The 2002 GMC Envoy was totaled and towed by Bridgemans of Altamont.
The accident was investigated by Tpr. T.I. Goolsby.

Marcia Burris, 22, Bethany, was taken by Daviess County Ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center with minor injuries after being involved in an accident in Daviess County.
Marcia Burris was southbound on I-35 at about 10:20 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 20. She attempted to pass another vehicle, lost control on the snow covered roadway and slid into the guardrail. The vehicle came to rest on its wheels in the ditch on the west side of I-35.
The accident was investigated by Tpr. T. I. Goolsby.
The 1996 Plymouth Voyager was totaled and towed by Bridgemans Towing of Altamont.
