Last week’s room bingo was won by resident JoAnne Scott. JoAnne received a traveling trophy that she will keep until the next winner is revealed.

There will be a retirement reception for Jetta Rogers on Wednesday, Feb. 1 from 2 to 4:00 p.m. Jetta has recently retired after 31 years of service in our dietary department. Jetta contributed fantastic cooking to our facility for 31 years and will be missed by all. We wish her the very best and are happy to announce that she will be spending some time with us as a volunteer. All friends and family are invited to celebrate with us.

Last week residents painted pictures in the Arts and Crafts class, enjoyed a round of bowling, and watched the movie "Free Willy" while enjoying movie style popcorn.

This week we will play parachute ball, Wheel of Fortune, and bingo.

Happy birthday to resident Betty Ethridge who will be celebrating a birthday on Jan. 25 and to housekeeper Patsy Wrex who’s birthday is Jan. 23.

Congratulations to our L.P.N., Wendy Jones, for being selected as employee of the year.
Wendy has been in nursing for 23 years.

Last Sunday’s church service was provided by the Gallatin United Methodist Church. We thank them for their dedication and time spent with the residents.

On Tuesday, the cookie ladies: Rhonda Lambert, Mildred Huff, and Norma Crabtree from the Pattonsburg Baptist Church brought homemade cookies to all of the residents.
