During their regular meeting held Monday, Jan. 11, Eddy Meador informed the Pattonsburg Board of Aldermen that wells #5 and #6 would serve the city better if they had bigger pumps in them. The board carried a motion for Mr. Meador to get quotes on the size of pump and control box he is thinking of and to present it at the next meeting.

The Water District contract was presented for renewal. The price of water in 2005 was $1.93 per 1,000 and in 2006 the rate will be $2.09 per 1000 less that a 10% increase. The board voted to renew the contract at the price stated in the contract.

The Tree Climbers have been asking the city clerks if they could have the old abstracts that the city has. Dwight Schell motioned to let the Tree Climbers have the abstracts that the city bought after the flood. All information will be reviewed by the council before it is released. No buyout information and no old ordinances will be released.

Bills were paid as presented.

The city clerk read the ordinance to opt out of the sales tax holiday for the second time.

The council was presented with the six month reports, which they reviewed and approved for the paper.
