Lins excel in Elks Hoop Shoot

Sara Lin, far left, and Derrick Lin, fourth from left, were both winners in the sub-district Elks Hoop Shoot sponsored by Elks Lodge #656 in Chillicothe on Dec. 10.

Both advanced to the district level which was held in Bearcat Arena on the campus of NWMSU in Maryville on Jan. 14. Derrick finished fourth in the boys 10-11 year-old division. Sara finished first in the girls 8-9 year-old division, and will now compete at the state level at Windsor High School in Imperial, MO, on Feb. 4.
