After executive board meeting, President Nancy Salmon presided over the regular business meeting. The Girl’s State recipient was selected for 2006. Discussion was held concerning the birthday party at Lake Viking Health Care and the Valentine dinner for the chapter. Program leader, Carol Wood, informed the chapter that Gallatin used to be a "college town." Carol gave the history of Grand River College, which opened in 1893 in south Gallatin, and remained an academic institution for about 20 years. The next meeting will be at Sue Gillilan’s home on Feb. 6.
