Graveside services and burial for Jean Ziegler were held Friday at the Grandview Cemetery, Albany. Arrangements were by Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany. Memorials may be made to the Hands of Hope Hospice.

Jean Ziegler, 80, Albany, died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006, at an Albany nursing home.
The daughter of Robert Lee and Jessie (Robertson) Smith, she was born Sept. 18, 1925, in Gentryville.
On Sept. 1, 1944, she married Lloyd Charles "Zig" Ziegler Jr. He preceded her in death on April 29, 1984. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Ziegler worked for Lambert Cap Factory before retiring. She was a member of the Albany First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Jeanette Stretch, Jamesport, and Brenda Spears, Ankeny, Iowa; two brothers, Raymond and Jesse Smith, Albany; one sister, Marie Graham, Union Star; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
