Funeral services for Florence Savage were held at 2 p.m. on January 11 at Poland-Thompson Chapel in Cameron. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery, Gallatin. Memorials may be made to the Liberty Hospital Tree House.

Florence "Flo" Savage, 85, Cameron, died Jan. 6, 2006.
Mrs. Savage was born on Aug. 18, 1920, in Altamont, to William and Laura (McGee) New. She was a graduate of Altamont High School.
Mrs. Savage worked as a bookkeeper for Columbian Rope, New Orleans, La., for 25 years.
She was a member of the Mirabile Community Church, Rebekkas Lodge, Pattonsburg, and the Cameron Regional Medical Center Auxiliary.
Mrs. Savage as preceded in death by her husband, Ford Savage, a son, Norman Savage, and a brother, Clarence New.
Survivors include one daughter, Loura Cook of Cameron; one brother, Alva New, Lower Lake, Calif.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
