FCCLA holds Santa’s Workshop for Learning Time Preschool students

Christmas music and excitement filled the GHS FACS room on Thursday Dec. 15 when FCCLA hosted students from Learning Time Preschool. As part of a Focus On Children Star Event project, FCCLA members provided the children with the materials to make a complete Christmas gift. Working one-on-one with an FCCLA member, the children were able to construct a holiday picture frame complete with their picture. They also made wrapping paper to wrap their gift with for that special someone of their choosing. To complete the event, the children decorated and ate Christmas cookies. Two FCCLA members, Sarah Cornett and Shalyn Lollar, coordinated the event and will present it to judges in February at the Regional FCCLA STAR Events competition in Trenton.
