Funeral services for Dorothy Beyer were held Saturday at the Camdenton United Methodist Church. Visitation followed the service. Services were under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.

Dorothy “Dottie” Roberta Beyer, 69, died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2006, in her home near Camdenton.

Mrs. Beyer, daughter of George and Dorothy Reutter McCleary, was born Nov. 30, 1936, in Jersey City, N.J. She was raised in Trappe, Penn., and graduated from Collegeville-Trappe High School in the Class of 1954.

On June 29, 1957, in Trappe, Penn., she was united in marriage to Wesley Landes Beyer, and to this union three daughters and three sons were born. After she and Wesley were married, they made their home in Pennsylvania and began raising their family. In 1962, the family moved to Elkhead, and then to Camdenton in 1973.

Mrs. Beyer entered St. John’s School of Nursing in Springfield, and earned her Registered Nursing Degree in 1979.

She worked at the Lake Ozark General Hospital, now Lake Regional Health Systems, from 1979 until retiring in 1999.

Mrs. Beyer was a member of the Camdenton United Methodist Church.

Her parents, and a brother, Robert McCleary, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Wesley; her children, Linda Grace Warford of Pattonsburg, Cheryl Lynn Dockray, of Alamogordo, N.M., Mark Wesley Beyer of Franklin, Tenn., Dale Christian Beyer of Warsaw, Natalie Renee Kauffman of Gunn City, and Christopher Joel Beyer of Joplin; one sister, Grace Shah, of Princeton, N.J.; 17 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
