Law Day was conducted Jan. 3, 2006, by Judge Stephen Griffin. The following cases were heard:

A divorce was granted to Ashlee Dawn Dawe from Thomas Jefferson Dawe, with her maiden name of Westcott restored.

Martin D. Sanford and Danielle M. Sanford each plead guilty to two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, class C felony. Sentence assessment reports were ordered for each defendant.

Michelle R. Brown plead guilty to assault 2nd degree, class C felony. A sentence assessment report was ordered.

Scott M. Schwartz was sentenced to 10 years in the Department of Corrections for robbery 2nd degree, class B felony, for the March 14 robbery of the Winston Pit Stop. The sentence will run concurrently with a Grundy County sentence for the robbery of the Hy-Vee Pharmacy in Trenton on the same day. The Grundy County sentence was for probation and a 120-day treatment program. Schwartz had plead guilty to the robbery of the Winston Pit Stop on Aug. 4. The court recommended long term treatment under section 217.362.

Jerry L. Romazon had plead guilty Sept. 8 to maintaining a public nuisance, class C felony. She was sentenced to seven years in the Department of Corrections, execution of sentence suspended, and was placed on five years probation.

Probation was continued for Danielle A. Ackerlund for a probation violation on an original charge of passing bad checks, class D felony. She was ordered to serve 34 days shock jail time as a condition of her continued probation.

Probation was revoked for Teresa Ann McCaslin on an original charge of criminal non-support, class D felony. She was ordered to serve the previously imposed sentence of four years in the Department of Corrections.

Quiet title issued to Jack and Bonnie Payne from Mary M. Wright.

In a change of venue from Livingston County, probation on a suspended imposition of sentence was revoked for Joshua Wayne Gott on an original charge of attempted statutory rape 1st degree, class B felony. He was sentenced to 10 years in the Department of Corrections, execution of sentence suspended, and placed on five years supervised probation.

On Jan. 10, a quiet title was issued to Tri-County R-7 School District from N.G. Conzen, etal.
