Theresa Hamilton began serving as Ministries Coordinator for First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Gallatin, on Jan. 1. In this newly developed part-time position, she will work with volunteer ministries, establish small group ministries, and coordinate church communications; including managing the website at www.gallatinmofcc.org.
Hamilton has a degree in journalism from Lincoln University in Jefferson City, and has taken several ministry classes from the Missouri School of Religion Center for Rural Ministry.She has extensive experience in volunteer program development, website design, and communications.As a freelance writer, her articles have appeared in regional, state, and national publications.
Mrs. Hamilton and her husband, Pastor Russ Hamilton, moved to Gallatin in June of 2004 to serve the church.Pastor Hamilton grew up in Cainsville, and Theresa comes from San Diego, Ca. They have a son, Sam, 10, and two grown daughters who live in the Lebanon area. Russ and Theresa are the proud grandparents of Brandi, 2, and Clay, 3 months, and are expecting another grandchild in July.
