The system is tentatively set to be installed the week of Jan. 23, 2006, with training of county 9-1-1 personnel to be conducted the week of Jan. 30.
Supervisor Dana Carder told the Daviess County Central 9-1-1 Board during their regular meeting held on Nov. 17 that Alltel is continuing to train its employees for the new 9-1-1 system. The system is tentatively set to be installed the week of Jan. 23, 2006, with training of county 9-1-1 personnel to be conducted the week of Jan. 30. The system should be on-line within a few days of completing the training.
The treasurer’s report was presented and accepted with bills of $11,512.07, revenue of $18,329.68 and a balance of $77,788.72.
Mrs. Carder advised that election information had been received from Linda Steward. She was to check with Mrs. Steward concerning Gene Walker’s unexpired term. She was to also put a notice in the paper concerning the filing for elections for board members, including that declarations can be accepted between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. in the Daviess County Central 9-1-1 office and be accepted by any employee of Daviess County Central 9-1-1.
Mrs. Carder said that at the next meeting at 7 p.m. on Dec. 29, she will have the preliminary budget prepared.
In board member comments, John Sullenger commented on the amount of money 9-1-1 is spending on the constant replacement of 9-1-1 signs.
Troy Souders commented on a call reference and C&I driver in Jamesport a couple of weeks ago. Mrs. Carder will look into the call.
Mark Richards inquired about the Language Line being implemented. The current system is not compatible, but the new one will be, and will be considered at budget meetings.
Misse Tolen stated that her road sign had been replaced.

Absent were Daniel Skinner, Mark Richards (arrived at 7:15 p.m.) and Gene Walker. Also present was Supervisor Dana Carder.
