Memorial services for Gary Ball were held Monday in Shell Knob Senior Center. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Leukemia Society of America in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 250, Cassville, MO 65625.

Gary Lewis Ball, 59, Golden, died Saturday at his home.

Mr. Ball was born on Jan. 10, 1946, in Joplin, the son of Lewis Edward and Harriett Helen (Dickinson) Ball.

Mr. Ball grew up and graduated from Joplin Senior High School in 1964. He continued his education at JUCO in Joplin.

He worked at Western Auto from 1971 until 1986. He was plant manager for Custom Metal Craft in Springfield, where he worked from 1987 until Sept. 30, 2003.

He was united in marriage to Sherry Plaster. On Aug. 31, 1991, in Rogersville, he was united in marriage to Suzanne Woodard, who survives.

Mr. Ball was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Brian Lee Ball.

Other survivors include one son, Greg Ball of Gallatin; one daughter, Shawna Ball of Little Rock, Ark.; one sister, Mary Bishop of Joplin.
