Notice of Forfeiture Orders
Notice is hereby given that on August 22, 2005, the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri did, in the above-styled case, enter an order forfeiting the following personal property, to the United States of America:
$1,872 in United States currency
2001 Chevrolet S-10, VIN: 19CC5195Z18179575
The United States hereby gives notice of its intention to dispose of the forfeited property in such manner as the Attorney General of the United States may direct. Any person having or claiming a legal interest in the said property must file a petition within 30 days of the final publication of this notice, or of service of a copy of the notice upon him, whichever is earlier. Any such petition shall be signed by the petitioner under penalty of perjury and shall set forth the nature and extent of the petitioner’s right, title or interest in the forfeited property, and shall state any additional facts supporting the petitioner’s claim, and the relief sought all as required by 21 U.S.C. § 853(n)(3).
Petitions must be filed with the Clerk of the Court, Charles Evans Whittaker Courthouse, 400 E. 9th Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64106. Copies of all petitions filed with the Clerk shall also be supplied to Patrick J. O’Connor, Assistant United States Attorney, Charles Evans Whittaker Courthouse, 400 E. 9th Street, Fifth Floor, Kansas City, Missouri 64106.
A person having or claiming an interest in said property may file a petition for remission or mitigation pursuant to 28 C.F.R. Part 9 in addition to or in lieu of filing a petition.
