The Pattonsburg FFA Chapter discussed the upcoming Barnwarming dance at the Nov. 2 meeting. The annual dance for grades seven through 12, will be from 7-10 p.m. on Nov. 19, in the George Peugh Agriculture Building. Senior queen and king Barnwarming candidates are Whitney Mason, Katelyn Hulet, Tiffany Woodring, Andrew Hulet, Henry Nalle, and Joshuaa Sherrill; junior candidates are Aleah Sperry, Trayce deJong, Justin Nalle, Justin Coffey, Mike Foster; sophomore candidates are Kate Hangley, Alyssa Lambert, Kayla Guzan, Jeremy Pittsenbarger, Jeremiah Nitzschke, Chase Morris; Freshmen attendants are Kayla Hicks, Tiffany deJong, Becca Bowland, Clay Bell, Jordan Talbert, and Matt Woodring.

Admission to Barnwarming is $3 for single, $5 for a couple, and for freshmen members admission is either one dozen cookies or $2. Students must sign up all out of town dates prior to the dance.

Operation Christmas Child

For the third year the Pattonsburg FFA Chapter will be collecting money and items for the Operation Christmas Child Program. Operation Christmas Child is also known as the Shoebox Christmas Program. During the week of Nov. 14-18, chapter members will be collecting a variety of items to assist with the program. Members collect shoeboxes to put gifts in, donations of $5 to send the gift boxes to needy children, and gifts. Gifts include school supplies, toiletries, toys- excluding toy guns or war related items. The items should be new, and not used, and can be given to any FFA member or brought to the Peugh Agriculture Building for drop off. All donations big and small will be greatly appreciated. Students make all-district band

Ashley Cameron and Rachel Hopkins were selected for the Northwest Missouri Middle School All-District Band.

Ashley is 3rd chair clarinet and Rachel is 4th chair percussion. They will perform with the All-District Band in a concert on Saturday, Dec. 10, at NWMSU’s Mary Linn Theater.
