Funeral services will be held for David Weinmann on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. at Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home, 208 N. 5th, Atchison, Kan. Interment will be at the Mount Calvary Cemetery, Atchison. Visitation will be 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9 at Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton, Mo. Arrangements are by Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton. Memorials to the family in care of First Horizon Bank, Cameron or the Hamilton Bank, Hamilton.

David Dean Weinmann, 35, Kidder, died Nov. 5, 2005 at the Liberty, Mo. hospital as the result of a motorcycle accident.

He was born July 14, 1970, in Atchison, Kan., to Robert Eugene and MaryLou (Maycroft) Weinmann. David moved to Falls City, Neb., in 1974 with his family, attending school in Falls City. He graduated from Atchison High School in 1989.

After graduation, he went into the Kansas National Guard and then joined the active Army in 1990. In 1996, he was discharged. He attended college at Benedictine College, Atchison and Missouri Western State University, St. Joseph. He graduated from the Regional Law Enforcement Academy in 1999.

He had worked for the Caldwell County, Mo., Sheriff’s Department and had been active chief since May 1, 2005, for the Hamilton, Mo. Police Department.

In 1987, he received his Eagle Scout Award and was a member of the National Eagle Scout Association. He was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Falls City, as he was growing up and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 723 of Atchison. He also was a member of the Hamilton Masonic Lodge and First Christian Church of Cameron.

He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Daniel Weinmann in December of 1993; paternal grandparents, Jacob Robert and Eulalia J. (Noll) Weinmann, Atchison; and maternal grandfather, Edwin J. Maycroft, Atchison.

On April 7, 2001, he married Jennifer Allen in Cameron. She survives of the home.

Additional survivors include daughters, Taylor Ann of the home and Katherine Lynn, Fort Worth, Texas; son, Jacob Robert of the home; soon to be born daughter, Cidney Elise; his parents, Robert and MaryLou Weinmann, Smithville; brother Anthony R. Weinmann, Verdon, Neb.; maternal grandmother, Carrie Maycroft, Atchison.
