Funeral services for Sue Hendren will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at the Roberson Funeral Home in Bethany. Burial will be in Pilot Grove #1 Cemetery, northwest of Jamesport. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home where friends may call after 9 a.m. Friday. A memorial service was held Tuesday in St. Cloud, Fla. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, and/or The Children’s Miracle Network, in care of the funeral home.

Sue Hendren, 62, Kissimmee, Fla., formerly of Gilman City, died Oct. 21, 2005.

Mrs. Hendren was born Jan. 9, 1943, in Coffey, the daughter of Kenneth Marshall and Mary Elizabeth (Lowe) Payne. She had spent the last 34 years in Osceola County, Fla.

On Aug. 25, 1962, she married Roger K. Hendren in Gilman City.

Mrs. Hendren, a homemaker, attended the Church of Christ in Kissimmee, Fla.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Roger, of the home; two sons, Brad Hendren, St. Cloud, Fla., and Brian Hendren, Atlanta, Ga.; two brothers, Kirby Payne, Jamesport, and Bill Payne, Weston; one sister, Julie Bixler, Lee’s Summit; and three grandchildren.
