Funeral services for George Lee were held at 10:30 a.m. today (Wednesday) at the Coffey Baptist Church. Burial was at the Hickory Creek Cemetery near Jameson. Arrangements were by McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin. Memorial contributions may be made to the Coffey Baptist Church.

George W. Lee, 81, Coffey, died Oct. 16, 2005, at Cameron Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Lee was born Feb. 22, 1924, to Frank and Alma (Castor) Lee in Winston. He graduated from Winston High School.

In 1944 he was united in marriage to his wife of 61 years, Rosalie (White) Lee, who died in August of this year. After their marriage they lived on a farm near Weatherby in DeKalb County for six years. They moved to a farm between Coffey and Jameson in 1950, where they farmed throughout their lives.

Mr. Lee was a member of the Coffey Baptist Church. He was the song leader in the church choir for many years.

Mr. Lee was also preceded in death by his parents, bothers and sisters.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary Ann and Bill Lent of Atlanta, Mo.; two sons, Greg Lee of Holt, and Randy Lee of Clearwater, Kan.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
