County Commission
At 9 a.m., the pre-construction hearing was held for BRO project (24). Shannon Howe representing Shafer, Kline and Warren, Randy Bowyer, from Boone Construction Company, and Darby Logan from the Missouri Department of Transportation were present. Two utilities are in conflict, PWSD #2 and Alltel. The contractor is waiting on the utility companies and having trouble getting responses from the water district. The road will be closed this week and construction will begin. DigRite has been called and construction will not be delayed because the water district was notified on June 14, 2005. Contracts were executed. Mr. Bowyer took the copies to his office for execution and attestation and will return those to the engineering firm.
Betty Harmison, assessor, and David McWilliams, coroner, filed their training certificates for the year.
James Lewis, bridge supervisor, met with the commission reporting that the bridge in Sheridan Township, recently constructed by county employees, is now open to traffic. They plan to complete the metal pipe replacement project this week.
Bills were audited and paid.
Bill Mastin, Jefferson Township, met with the commission with questions regarding the open meetings law. He was referred to the prosecuting attorney.
These are the approved minutes of Oct. 11, 2005. David Holcomb and Danny Heldenbrand were present at the meeting.
