Bohannons head expansion program for USA Mortgage

Mike and Linda Bohannon were recently named Northwest Missouri Area Representatives for USA Mortgage of St. Louis. The husband and wife team are responsible for establishing and running satellite offices for USA Mortgage throughout rural Missouri, which will provide lending for new home purchases, refinance, debt consolidation, VA/FHA lending and other mortgage programs previously available from USA only to those in the St. Louis area.

A husband and wife business team is not unusual for this couple. Married in 1976, currently they farm 1,000 acres of row crop. They have both worked for the government, Linda for ASCS-USDA and Mike for the Census Bureau. The last seven years, along with the farm, they have owned and operated Bohannon’s Interiors. The farm operation will continue, but, Linda states, “The Interior business will be dissolved. USA Mortgage has provided us a way to assist our neighbors and fill a need for our community that we could not ignore.”

Douglas A. Schukar, owner, president and CEO of USA Mortgage, personally tapped the couple to head up his expansion program for northwest Missouri. This is the most aggressive expansion, covering the largest area, and farthest from the parent offices to date. The company closed over $370 million in loans for 2004 and was featured in the St. Louis Business Journal as one of the top residential lenders in the St. Louis Metropolitan area. USA Mortgage uses its own money to fund its loans as a mortgage banker and has the ability to close loans in all 50 states.

Mike and Linda will run the business operation through their home office until other office locations can be determined and established.
