First FBLA organized at PHS
First year for JH STUCO
For the first year in Pattonsburg High School history, there will be a separate Junior High Student Council (JC STUCO). The JH STUCO will represent the junior high student body by making decision that affect this group. The JH STUCO members are Michael Lewis, president; Rachel Hopkins, vice-president; and Sammie Jo Moore, secretary/treasurer. Eighth grade representatives are Ashley Cameron and Joey Huffman; seventh grade representatives are Heather Coffey and Bradyn Gardiner. The JH STUCO will aid the HS STUCO in Red Ribbon Week and Courtwarming activities, as well as hosting their own junior high dance in the spring.
HS STUCO officers elected
The Pattonsburg High School Student Council (HS STUCO) officers for 2005-2006 were elected in May of 2005. Results were as follows: Andrew Hulet, president; Whitney Mason, vice-president; Justin Nalle, secretary; Aleah Sperry, treasurer; Katelyn Hulet, reporter. STUCO is responsible for Courtwarming coronation, Spirit Week, Red Ribbon Week, a can food drive, Sadie Hawkin’s Dance, field day, and the Veteran’s Day assembly. STUCO is under the supervision of Katie Thompson.
First FBLA organized at PHS
New to Pattonsburg this year is Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA). Anyone who is in a business class is eligible to participate. In FBLA, students take part in contests, a school improvement project, and a community betterment project. Officers include Andrew Hulet, president; Katelyn Hulet, vice-president; Whitney Mason, secretary; and Kelly Cornet, treasurer.
FBLA is under the supervision of Katie Thompson.
