Many readers may have observed the ad for Christmas in the Park 2005. The date had been set for Dec. 3. Due to scheduling conflicts the event has been moved to Nov. 26. Last year was a huge success and that can only be attributed to the community involvement and participation. Our goal for 2005 is to make Christmas in the Park bigger. With the event still two months away, we already have more areas adopted by community members than last year. There are still limited areas available to adopt.

For those who didn’t attend Christmas n the Park 2004, we hope that you do this year. A picture with Santa isn’t the only fun to be found! There will be horse drawn rides through the park, cookies, cider, hot chocolate, Christmas music and a live nativity. The Mayor’s Christmas tree will be lit during the evening. Treat bags are also handed out to the children who come to see Santa.

The Park Board and City of Gallatin would like to invite the community to enjoy the free family fun on Saturday, Nov. 26. For more information on how you can help with Christmas in the Park call DeAnna at 663-3243, Sue at 663-2061 or Shari at 663-3239.

Thank you.
