The students, parents and staff at Covel D. Searcy elementary collected $1,017.38 that will be donated to the Red Cross Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund. The past four weeks, sixth grade students monitored the change jar that was located outside of the elementary office. A large wall graph was kept so that students could see weekly progress. The elementary school wishes to express its appreciation to everyone that helped to make this project a success. Pictured are sixth grade representatives Ashley Huffman and Kristin Critten.
