A New Hampton woman received minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident at about 7:55 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 26, six miles north of Cameron in Daviess County, according to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred as Heather Scott, 27, was southbound on I-35 at the 60 mile marker. She fell asleep and the vehicle traveled off the west side of the roadway, struck a fence, then a tree and came to rest off the west side of the highway, upright.

Mrs. Scott was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center by the Daviess County Ambulance. She was wearing her seat belt.

The 1999 Pontiac received extensive damage and was towed by Bridgman’s Tow of Altamont.

The accident was investigated by Tpr. A. Griffin, assisted by the Daviess County Sheriff.
