Funeral services for G. Fallis Pogue were held at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) at McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Gallatin. Memorial contributions may be made to Circle of Life Hospice.

G. Fallis Pogue, 91, Gallatin, died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005, at the Daviess County Health Care Center in Gallatin.

Mr. Pogue was born March 10, 1914, to Forrest and Bessie (Tolbert) Pogue in rural Daviess County. He attended Gallatin High School and graduated in 1932.

Mr. Pogue was a World War II veteran who joined the Navy and served on the USS Lexington. After the war he returned home to the family farm where he lived and farmed the rest of his life.

Mr. Pogue moved into the Lake Viking Health Care Center in 1999, where he resided until his death.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Pogue, in 1983.

Survivors include cousins, friends and caretaker, Lisa Gutzmer and husband Tim, of Gallatin.
