The Summer Reading Program was a lot of fun and it sure made the summer go by super fast. Now we’re into fall and school has started, but we want to make sure everybody keeps reading. The Daviess County Library staff is making plans for a Parent/Child reading club.

The club would involve an adult, whether it is a parent, grandparent, or other designated person and a child reading the same book, then meeting with others once a month to talk about the book. Various activities by the library staff would be included in each session. We would have groups for children 3-12 years of age and limited enrollment in each group.

If you are interested in being part of our reading club, please contact Jan or Amy at the Daviess County Library, or call 660-663-3222.

We will continue with our plans for the club, contingent on the interest expressed so please contact us no later than Sept. 21.
