Kaitlyn and Sarah Keck of Altamont placed in both the Open and 4H/FFA Rabbit Shows at the 2005 Missouri State Fair. Sarah’s mini lop, Scout, received Best Opposite Sex of Breed in the Open Youth Show, second out of 187 mini lops.

In the 4H/FFA Show, Sarah’s French lop Alexis won Best of Breed and Kaitlyn’s French lop Chucky won Best Opposite Sex of Breed.

Kaitlyn was also named as second place winner of the Premier Exhibitor Award (most points in the largest breed showing in open show.) Sarah won first place in Novice Showmanship. Kaitlyn and Sarah are members of the Knee-Hi 4H Club.

In addition to showing rabbits, Kaitlyn and Sarah also gave demonstrations at the fair on Saturday, Aug. 20. Kaitlyn gave a working demonstration on “Heirloom Handkerchief Dolls” and Sarah gave a general demonstration on making “Cool Crayons.”
