Frosts celebrate 65th wedding anniversary

Marvin and Marjorie Frost of Mound City will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary Saturday, Sept. 24. They were married on that date in 1940 in Gallatin. He is a retired farmer and worked at Trager’s Quarry and Thompson Implement. She is retired from Lambert’s Cap Factory. They spent most of their married life on a farm west of Gallatin that is now Lake Viking. After retiring from the farm, they lived in Gallatin for 30 years. They moved to Mound City a year ago. Their children are Barbara and her husband, Gene Landes, Mound City; Charlotte and her husband Ray Cline, Niangua; Wendel and his wife, Ella Frost, Tennessee. There are seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and several step great-grandchildren. A card shower is planned to celebrate the event.
