Cookies, pop, stuffed animals — Morgan Prather gives belongings to hurricane victims

Morgan Prather, third grader at Covel D. Searcy Elementary School, wanted to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. She sold cookies, soda pop and stuffed animals from her own collection at the home of her grandmother Veda Heldenbrand. Her mother Christy and grandmother were having a garage sale. Morgan collected $30.75 that will be given to the Red Cross. Morgan, 8, is the daughter of Dave and Christy Prather, Gallatin.
