Graveside services for Virginia Gann were held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Hillcrest Cemetery in Gallatin. Arrangements were by Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Memorials may be made to the ALS Foundation.

Virginia G. Gann, 97, Marshall, formerly of Gallatin, died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2005, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.

Born May 17, 1908, in Gallatin, she was the daughter of the late B.F. Kissinger and Virgie Ramsbottom Kissinger.

On Nov. 16, 1929, she married John Russell Gann who preceded her in death on April 9, 1990.

Mrs. Gann returned to Gallatin in 1970, moving from Blue Springs, and had lived in Marshall since 2001.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, John Kissinger and Harry Kissinger, and a sister, Frankie Brinnon.

Survivors include one son, John Gann of rural Marshall; one daughter, Martha Rounds of Kansas City; one sister, Claudine Wheeler of rural Marshall; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
