Funeral services for Connie Dixon were held at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) at the Jamesport Baptist Church. Arrangements were by the McWilliams Funeral Home in Jamesport. Burial was at Clear Creek Cemetery near Lock Springs. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge in care of the funeral home.

Connie M. Dixon, 67, died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2005, at the Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.

Mr. Dixon was born Feb. 23, 1938, to Ray and Eudolpha (Dickinson) Dixon in Carlow, where he lived for several years. He married Cecelia Wiseman on Dec. 24, 1962, in Braymer. The couple made their home in Trenton, moving to Jamesport in July of 1971.

Mr. Dixon was employed by the Missouri Department of Transportation in 1962 and retired in 1993.

He was a member of the Jamesport Baptist Church.

Mr. Dixon was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Jean Dixon and Geraldine Snidow.

Survivors include his wife, Cecelia Dixon, of the home; four daughters, Dana Urton, Jamesport, Pamela Dixon, St. Joseph, Paula Whitt, Cameron, Darla Dixon, Jamesport, one sister, Delores Mann, Independence; and three grandchildren.
