Graveside services for Marie E. Ware will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 18, at the Masonic Cemetery in Jamesport. Friends may call after noon today (Wednesday) at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Jamesport. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jamesport Baptist Church.

Marie E. Ware, 99, formerly of Jamesport died Monday, Aug. 15, 2005, at the Lake Viking Health Care Center in Gallatin.

Mrs. Ware was born May 6, 1906, to Lonel and Carrie (Hughes) Dawson in Bancroft. She graduated from the Jamesport High School in 1925 and attended Warrensburg State College where she received a teaching degree in elementary education.

In 1945, she married Bennie Ware in Kansas City. The couple returned back to the family farm northwest of Jamesport where they farmed and Mrs. Ware taught school for many years in the Trenton and Jamesport school districts.

She was a member of the Jamesport Baptist Church and a life-long resident of the Jamesport community.

Mrs. Ware was preceded in death by her husband Bennie in 1961, and a niece Mary Gillette in 1948.

Survivors include one sister, Roberta Gillette, Gallatin; niece Emma Lou Allee, Cameron, great-nephew, John Allee, Kansas City and great-niece, Linda Brickey, Waco, Tex.
