Law Day was conducted Aug. 4 by Judge Stephen Griffin. The following cases were heard:

Steven C. Reed, personal representative, estate of Glen Franklin Wilder, deceased, vs. Philip R. Wirt etal: quiet title was ordered on real estate located in Daviess County.

Nancy M. Poff plead guilty to forgery, class C felony, and a pre-sentence investigation was ordered.

Scott M. Schwartz: entered a guilty plea to an amended charge of robbery in the 2nd degree, class B felony. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered.

William W. Loucks entered a guilty plea to burglary 2nd degree, class C felony, and possession of a controlled substance, class C felony. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered.

Patsy Hoskin entered a guilty plea to passing bad checks, class D felony, and a pre-sentence investigation was ordered.

Jessica Ann Walton plead guilty to assault 2nd degree, class C felony, and a pre-sentence investigation was ordered.

A change of venue was granted to Steve Fischer. The case was transferred to Clinton County.

In State of Missouri vs. John J. Moreno, the defendant plead guilty and was sentenced on the following charges: assault of a law enforcement degree, 3rd degee, class A misdemeanor, one year in county jail; trespassing 1st degree, class B misdemeanor, 6 months in county jail; property damage 1st degree, class D felony, four years in Missouri Department of Corrections; property damage 2nd degree, class B felony, 6 months in county jail; resisting arrest, class A misdemeanor, one year in county jail. The pre-sentence investigation was waived. All sentences will run consecutively.

Collin Edward Bolin failed to apear on a motion for bond revocation. A warrant was issued and new bond was set at $25,000 cash only.

Jimmy Lynn Loucks Jr. entered a guilty plea to burglary 2nd degree, class C felony, and a pre-sentence investigation was ordered.

Nelson Hill, had previously entered a guilty plea to possession of a controlled substance, class C felony; operating motor vehicle with license suspended, class B felony; possession of drug paraphernalia, class A misdemeanor; and speeding, class B misdemeanor. The pre-sentence investigation was filed. The defendant was sentenced to five years in the Department of Corrections on the first charge, 6 months in county jail on the second and fourth counts, and one year in county jail for the last charge. Sentences will run concurrently, with credit given for time served.

Brett A Popplewell had previously plead guilty to burglary 2nd degree, class C felony. The pre-sentence investigation was filed. He received a suspended imposition of sentence and five years probation.

Keyla M. James admitted probation violations on an original charge of possession of controlled substance, class C felony, and was sentenced to serve the previously imposed sentence of seven years in the Department of Corrections..

Matt Jason Gaunt plead guilty to two counts of criminal non-support, class D felonies. The pre-sentence investigation was waived. He received a suspended imposition of sentence and five years probation.

Daniel J. Myers plead guilty to one count of criminal non-support, class D felony. The pre-sentence investigation was filed. He received a suspended imposition of sentence and five years probation.

Allen L. Konopasek Jr. filed to appear on a probation violation, and a warrant was issued for his arrest, failure to appear.

Charles Corder had previously entered a guilty plea to assault 2nd degree, class C felony. The pre-sentence investigation was filed. The defendant was sentenced to the Missouri Department of Corrections for five years under RSMo. 559.115. The court will consider release after 120 days. The defendant was ordered to pay all costs, including board and medical expenses.
