Funeral services for Frances Dutro will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin. Burial will be at Coffey Cemetery. Friends may call after 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) and family visitation is one hour before the service, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Coffey Cemetery.

Frances Dutro, 94, Bethany, formerly of Jameson, died Sunday, July 24, 2005, at a health-care center in Bethany.

Mrs. Dutro was born Feb. 4, 1911, in rural Daviess County to Thomas A. and Cordia (Scott) Troxel. She graduated from Jameson High School in 1931.

She was married to Emil Dutro on March 9, 1936.

She and her husband lived on a farm south of Coffey until 1940, before purchasing and moving onto land next to the family farm. After Mr. Dutro’s death in 1991, Mrs. Dutro lived on the farm for two years until 1993, before moving to a residential care center.

Mrs. Dutro was preceded in death by two brothers, Ferman and Franklin Troxel.

Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth McNeely, Jameson, and Martha Cottrell, Gilman City; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
