Final bridge invoice submitted; bridge contract confirmed

James Lewis, bridge supervisor, met with the commission reporting on general road and bridge work being done in the county.

A final invoice was submitted for BRO project (23) to Missouri Department of Transportation.

Notification was received from MoDOT confirming the award of the contract for BRO project (26) to Boone Construction Co. at $417,414.61. The pre-construction hearing has been set for July 25.

Neal Kauffman and Eli Gingerich met with the commission discussing the petition for vacation and establishment of a road in Jamesport Special Road district. The commissioners will contact MoDOT regarding right-of-way permits prior to making a final decision.

Final certification and the final acceptance letter for BRO project (23) were executed and forwarded to MoDOT.

A landowner from Benton Township met with the commission requesting that the road past his farm be added to the CART program. He agreed to apply the base rock with the cooperation of the township board.

These are the approved minutes of July 11, 2005. All commissioners were in attendance.

The commission adjourned to meet as Board of Equalization with Betty Harmison, assessor, attending. The results are as follows: No Change – Marion Caldwell, Jack Humphrey, Emery Gould, Charles Marshall, Lonnie Sewell, Allan Seidel, Kenneth Hensley, and Raymond Heldenbrand (Danny Heldenbrand abstained); Assessor will re-measure: Delbert Harvey, Helen Dixon; Assessor will reinspect: Jerry Bailey, Shelly Dorton.
