Funeral services for Nellie Shaw will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Tenth Street Baptist Church. A scheduled family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Resthaven Mortuary in Trenton. Burial will be in the Willis Chapel Cemetery located north of Brimson. The family will be staying at the home at 602 Rural in Trenton. The family has suggested that memorials be left to the Willis Chapel Cemetery. These may be left at the funeral home.

Nellie B. Shaw, 92, Trenton, died Tuesday, July 12, at the Sunnyview Nursing Home, where she had resided for two weeks.

Mrs. Shaw was born on Feb. 7, 1913, at Hopkins, the daughter of George W. and Rosa Zella Stuart Gray. She moved to rural Carroll County with her parents at the age of five in a covered wagon.

She was married to Harley Julian Shaw on Aug. 20, 1937, at Dodson. He died on Oct. 7, 1999. After their marriage they lived at Brimson until 1959, when they moved to Trenton until 1964. They then moved to the farm east of Trenton until 1993, when they moved back to Trenton.

Mrs. Shaw had worked at Trenton Foods for 17 years.

She was a member of the Edinburg Baptist Church.

Mrs. Shaw was also preceded in death by one son, Ralph; one daughter-in-law, Diana Shaw; one great-granddaughter, Abigail Wallace; one great-grandson, Scott Meeker; three brothers, Jim, Ernest and John Gray; four sisters, Ida Swaim, Lillie Peterson, Mary Manuel and Golda Clayton.

Survivors include four sons, Charles Shaw of Gallatin; Russell, Roy and Ron Shaw, all of Trenton; one daughter, Ruby Austin of Trenton; a brother, Charles Gray of Maryville; a half brother, Dale Gray of Clarinda, Iowa; a half sister, Dorothy Arthur of Clarinda, Iowa, 14 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
