Zac Johnson accepted the position as city administrator during the regular meeting of the Gallatin Board of Aldermen held Monday, July 11. Mr. Johnson will start on August 16.

Zac Johnson was born and raised in Gallatin and graduated from Gallatin High School with the class of 1996. He graduated in 2000 from Northwest Missouri State University at Maryville with a major in geography and a double minor in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and computer science.

After graduation, Mr. Johnson worked for the Missouri Department of Economic Development in Jefferson City for three years as a GIS analyst. He is presently employed by the city of Maryville as the GIS and planning manager.

He and his wife, Kimberly, have one son, Peyton, 4 ½ months. Kimberly is also of Gallatin. The couple live in Maryville, but are planning to move to Gallatin as soon as possible.

“We are both looking forward to calling Gallatin home once again!” Mr. Johnson said.
