Funeral services for Nile Frost were held on Saturday, July 2, at McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin. Burial was at Civil Bend Christian Cemetery, near Pattonsburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the Civil Bend Christian Cemetery.

Nile G. Frost, 89, died Tuesday, June 28, at Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph.

He was born Sept. 27, 1915, to Clyde and Leona (Murry) Frost near Pattonsburg.

Mr. Frost graduated from Civil Bend High School in 1934. After graduation he farmed with his grandparents on their farm northwest of Gallatin.

On July 3, 1943, he married Dolly Groves in Jamesport. They made their first home in a log cabin located on the family farm which was later donated and moved to Hwy. 13 in south Gallatin. He retired from farming in 1977 and continued to live on the farm until moving to Gallatin in 2002.

Mr. Frost was a member of the Civil Bend Christian Church; served on the Civil Bend Christian Church Cemetery Board for many years; a member of the Jameson Lions Club; and served on the Jameson School Board.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Dolly in 1993; grandson James in 1971, and great-granddaughter Chyenne in 2000.

Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn Frost of St. Joseph, and Carolyn Martinez of Raleigh, N.C.
