Jack Hunsucker officially began as administrator for the Daviess County Health Department on June 16. Mr. Hunsucker was born in Maysville and raised in the Union Star/King City area. He attended school at Union Star and graduated from Tarkio College with a degree in chemistry.
Mr. Hunsucker was employed for 15 years with Friskee’s Pet Care in St. Joseph. He then worked at Weyerhaeuser Company in St. Joe. For the past three years he was environmental health specialist at Nodaway County Health Center in Maryville.
He and his wife Melody live on a farm outside of King City. They have been married for over 20 years and have seven children, Amanda, Andrew, Travis, Jacklyn, Colton, Kaitlyn and Logan. Amanda is in college at Springfield. The other children range in age from kindergartner to senior at the King City school.
