Flemon Elton Miller, 86, Montgomery City, died Wednesday, May 25, 2005, at his home.
Mr. Miller was born July 3, 1918, in Montgomery County, to Flemon Elton and Cora Hensley Miller.
He married Ida Katherine Beshears on July 8, 1945, in Montgomery City. They farmed most of their lives. She preceded him in death on Sept. 7, 1978. He later married Marjorie Nold Oliver on May 10, 1981, in Montgomery City.
Mr. Miller was a member of the Buell United Methodist Church, but later attended the United Methodist-Presbyterian Church in Montgomery City. He was on the Board of Directors for many years of the Federal Land Bank Association and the Production Credit Association.
Mr. Miller was also preceded in death by two brothers, Franklin and Burt Miller; and two sisters, Margaret Kruse and infant sister, Alta Sue Miller.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Nold Oliver Miller, of Montgomery City; three sons, Marvin Miller, Richard Miller, both of Montgomery City, and Pitman Miller, of New Florence; two daughters, Nancy Cope of Truxton, and Mary Jarboe of Gallatin; four stepchildren, Sterling Oliver of Mexico, Peggy Rodgers of High Hill, Rebecca Taylor of Springfield, and Tamara Hackmann of Mahomet, Ill.; two sisters, Helen Myers of Montgomery City, and Anna Gourley of Troy; 22 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
