Lanny and Gina Dixon of Jamesport, Steve and Judy Moyer of Polo, and Connie Smith of Lakewood, Wash., are happy to announce the upcoming wedding of their children, Amanda Moyer and Craig Smith. They will be married at the Elms Resort in Excelsior Springs in a garden ceremony performed by Pastor Buck Cueni-Smith on June 11, with reception to follow in the Elms Regents Room.
Amanda is a 1999 graduate of Gallatin High School. She attended NWMSU in Maryville, where she earned her B.S. degree in elementary education and early childhood in 2003. Mandy resides in St. Joseph, where she teaches fourth grade at Lindburgh Elementary.
Craig graduated from Culver Park High School in Lakewood, Wash., in 1993. He attended NWMSU in Maryville, and graduated from MWSC Regional Police Academy in 2001. He resides in St. Joseph, where he has been a city police officer for two years.
The couple plans to continue to live and work in St. Joseph after their marriage.
