Members of V.F.W. Post #2172 and the American Legion Post #68 will hold their annual Memorial Day service at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 30, at the flag pole at Lyle Cemetery. The featured speaker will be Rev. Russ Hamilton of the Gallatin Christian Church and the public is invited to attend.

The Ladies Auxiliary of Frank Frazier VFW #2172 will assist with the Memorial Day ceremonies. The auxiliary will also be collecting donations for the Buddy Poppy program on Saturday, May 28, from 8-10 a.m. at the 4-way stop in Gallatin. Every cent collected in Gallatin stays in Gallatin for aid to local veterans and their families.

It is a great honor to support our troops during times of war as well as during times of peace. Remember our military men and women currently serving our country and our veterans who paid the highest sacrifice during past wars by giving generously to the Buddy Poppy program on Saturday, and by planning to attend the Memorial Day ceremony on Monday.
