Ultimate sacrifice of area police officers recognized with proclamation

May 15-21 is National Peace Officer Memorial Week. The Gallatin Police Chaplain Corps submitted a document of proclamation asking that all public buildings within the Gallatin city limits display their flags at half mast during this week in honor of law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty. Present at the Mayor’s Document Signing were Police Chief Mark Richards; Chaplain Abel Perez; Mayor John Thomas; and Trooper J.R. Johnston.
