Kindergarteners plant a tree to celebrate Arbor Day

The kindergarten classes at Searcy Elementary celebrated Arbor Day by planting a tree. The students brought change from home to purchase the tree and edging blocks. They had help digging a hole from high school students but each kindergartner helped by planting the tree and they continue to water it. This is the third year that the kindergarten classes have participated in this activity for Arbor Day. They hope to enjoy the shade from these trees during their high school years.
