Graveside services for Steve Herrell were held at 3:30 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Salmon Cemetery in Pattonsburg. Arrangements were by Roberson Funeral Home, Pattonsburg.

Steven Lee Herrell, 50, Pleasant Valley, formerly of Pattonsburg, died Saturday at his home.

Mr. Herrell was born April 10, 1955, in Kansas City to Ernest Lee (Bud) Herrell and Mary (Oldham) Herrell. He graduated from Ruskin High School in the class of 1972.

Mr. Herrell was employed as the maintenance foreman for the Roland Mayer family at Best Tool and Mfg., Inc. for the past 26 years.

He was baptized and confirmed at Saint Catherine’s Church in Kansas City.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bud Herrell, and a granddaughter, Sadie Meilin.

Survivors include his wife, Carol (Crabtree) Herrell of the home; one son, Steven Matthew Herrell; one daughter, Jessica Lee Herrell; one stepson, Sam Carter Jr., one stepdaughter, Debra Hensley; his mother, Mary Mahoney and step-father, Jerry Mahoney; two sisters, Linda Lee Palmer and Barbara Lee Mendenhall; and four grandchildren.
