Funeral services for Dorothy Polley were held Tuesday at the Roberson Funeral Home in Bethany. Burial was in Miriam Cemetery, Bethany. Memorial contributions may be made to Miriam Cemetery in care of the funeral home.

Dorothy L. Polley, 73, Bethany, formerly of Ridgeway, died Saturday, May 7, at a Bethany nursing home.

Mrs. Polley was born Oct. 2, 1931, in Ridgeway, the daughter of Roy Benjamin Fish and Mildred (Long) Fish. She graduated from Martinsville High School in 1950.

Mrs. Polley worked for Lambert Manufacturing in Bethany for several years, and then at Wal-Mart for 11 years..

She was a member of the Shady Grove Methodist Church of Ridgeway.

On June 9, 1950, she married Herb Polley in Ridgeway. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include two daughters, Mary Ann Johnston, New Hampton, and Mona Polley of Bethany; three sisters, Doris Hamilton and Coleen Smith, both of Bethany, and Zella Kay Barnes of Gallatin; one brother, Phillip Fish of Cameron; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
