Merritt James Linville, 10, Richmond, took a turkey on the family farm on the first day of Youth Hunt. The bird weighed 22 ½ pounds and had a nine-inch beard. Merritt is the son of Lisa and Dennis Buenaflor of Richmond. He is the great-grandson of Ellen Merritt Linville of Gallatin.
