Members of Dance Essentials and The Dance Company kicked off National Dance Week 2005 with a presentation of books to the Daviess County Library and Searcy Elementary library. The books that were purchased featured the NDW spokes-character, Angelina Ballerina. A coloring contest finished out the week of activities for the local dance students.
NDW is celebrated from April 22 to May 1. The event is held each year in order to bring a heightened awareness of dance in America as it exists today with thousands of presentations and displays held in small towns and large cities throughout the United States. Dance Essentials and The Dance Company are owned by Vera Nelson of Gallatin.
