Otto E. (Junior) Critten, Jr., 81, of Hannibal., died March 28, 2005, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 31, at McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be at Centenary Cemetery in rural Daviess County. Memorials may be made to the Hannibal Nutrition Center in care of the funeral home. Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

Born Oct. 19, 1923, in rural Gallatin, he was a son of Otto E. Critten, Sr., and Gertrude Graham Critten. He married Grace Yvonne Shuler on June 1, 1947. She died Aug. 3, 1972.

Mr. Critten was a graduate of Jamesport High School and was a member of Olive Baptist Church. He was a farmer in rural Daviess County for many years before moving to Hannibal in 1982.

He was also preceded in death by one sister, Hazel Smith; and five brothers, Macy, Maynard, Jewell, Lutallis, and Wayne.

Survivors include two daughters, Dianna M. Wellons of Suffolk, Va., and Linda E. Critten of Chillicothe; a son, Terry L. Critten and his wife Ruthie of Monroe City; five grandsons, Craig Wilson and his wife Andrea of Liberty, Travis Critten and his wife Michelle of Quincy, Ill., Dylan Critten of Monroe City, and Christopher and Jonathan Wellons of Suffolk, Va.; two great-granddaughters, Keelie and Faith Wilson of Liberty; a brother, Maurice Critten of Cameron; and many nieces and nephews.
